Namaki and the Giant

28 page

Namaki and the Giant is story of a little girl who is kidnapped by a giant due to her neglectful action. She manages to get rid of the giant and save the other children he had taken away.

Ellie I. Beykzadeh is an Iranian- American visual artist. Having lived and traveled abroad for many years, she learned to put cultural differences into perspective. Reflecting how vulnerable a human’s spirit can be in face of circumstances, Ellie decided to pursue her first children’s book to portray the power of women through a Persian folktale.

Ellie attempts to create a world of colors in which girls can make their own choices and save the day too. Ellie is inspired by Persian miniature paintings in terms of colors, layout, and composition.
